Wordle

So, I was reading a blog I like this morning called How about Orange and she had this cool thing from a site called Wordle. You type in your blog address and get an image with a bunch of working from your blog - an artistic interpretation of your writing as it were! Love finding these interesting little gems!

I know I haven't been blogging very regularly, but we just seem to be busy and I'm tired! I've been scrapping more and online a little less too maybe. OK, maybe...

The weather here has been grey the last few days, but fine temperature wise though my alleriges are killing me! We're planning a picnic for dinner tonight, so that should be fun. it was actually mum and dad's idea, so they're coming out and doing dinner! They're picking the boys and I up and Tracy will come and get Sophia and we'll all head up to the park and George and Brian will come after work. Looking forward to it, especially since mum and dad are doing dinner too!!

Well, expecting Sophia here shortly, so I'd better be off for now. I'm so behind in posting scrappy stuff that I'll have to post a few together here soon! Have a fabulous day everyone!

My Spotted Munchkin

Supplies: Cardstock is Bazzill. Patterned paper is KI Memories. Title is Heidi Swapp chipboard. Rub-ons are Creative Cafe from Creative Imaginations. Ribbon is Making Memories. Felt is Fancy Pants. Misc buttons.

Nathan had a viral rash a little while ago(Feb) and I managed to get this picture. I used the "Home for the Holidays" Vintage Ltd kit from Scrapperie for this!

Well, it's been a fairly low key day to this point. I've really been enjoying a little time visiting with Tracy in the morning now that she's off on maternity leave and is dropping Sophia off. She generally stops at Tim's and gets us a coffee and then we have a chat before she heads off home or out to do errands. Nice because what with the kids and work, we don't generally get a lot of time to see each other! And once she has the baby, we won't again for a while probably either!! Anyday now...

366 Days

OK, so it hasn't been 366 days since I posted though it feels like it! That is the name of one of the layouts I did this week though. This was for a challenge at Scrapdango where we had to create a sketch and then found out we needed to create a layout for it as well. These pictures of Nathan were taken a year apart on Canada Day (July 1st) were perfect for this! I did the border using KI lace cardstock as a mask.

Supplies: Kraft Cardstock is Scenic Route. Cardstock is Bazzill. Star border background was done with KI Memories lace cardstock used as a mask with Memento Tangleo ink. Patterned paper is MME Magnolia. Metal rim and brads are Making Memories. Chipboard for title is American Crafts Thickers and DCWV. Stickers are from Provocraft, Me and My Big Ideas, and Wordsworth. Font for the journaling is Moderne. Ink for distressing is Palette Burnt Umber.

Journaling on the layout:
366 days of love, kisses, learning, playing, jumping, and that unmistakable smile and those dimples!!

Wow! It's amazing what happens in a year! I love these pictures of you - both taken on Canada Day a year apart.

While I love these pictures, it makes me both happy and sad to see how much you've changed. Of course, it's wonderful to see you growing, changing and learning, but you seem to be growing so quickly! I love that you're learning your ABCs, shapes and colours, but it also makes me a little sad that I have to steal cuddles from you sometimes. I have to say that you love giving kisses though and that always makes me smile!

My baby is no longer and I now have a little boy. Oh to think about the fun and changes to come in the next 365 days...

Well, George is back at work now and it's taken me a while to get back into the swing of things. I've been scrapping a little more and enjoying it. Sophia is still here 4 days a week for the time being, but Tracy is due next Wednesday! I know she wants that baby to come early, but I have a sneaking suspicion, we might have to wait a little longer...

I did take a day off though last week on Wednesday and took George to work so I could have the car. I dropped the kids at George's parents (thankfully!) and went and had lunch with 2 of my old bosses (now friends), Grant and Carolyn, downtown. We went to this place I'd never been to before called the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company and I had a pizza with tomato, fresh basil and boccocini on it - awesome! They have a very eco-friendly premise too where they try to use local and organic products amongst other things! We had a great chat and it was just nice to get out and see them again.

OK, I have a ton of stuff to catch up on here on my blog, so I'll try to be better about getting some more stuff on here. I also just need to send a HUGE shout-out to my friend Julie in Australia because I know she checks my blog all the time and I've been horrible with my e-mail lately!! Miss ya!

Have a great night everyone. I'm hoping to do a little scrapping, some chatting at LeClub, and watch Big Brother 10! Yes, I'm addicted! lol Enjoy...
