Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, we had a fairly low key day actually! I slept in since I worked late and I'm trying to kick this cold. Think the Cold FX is helping and only wish I could give it to Nathan because he's a sadly sick little monkey.

Got up and we did our Happy Valentine's Day thing! I got cards and chocolates for the boys and George and guess what I got - the same! Spent a little time together and then I had to get ready for work. Came home and hung out, put the boys to bed, scrapped a bit, spent a little time on the computer and I'll be heading to bed for an early night once I post this!

I did want to post the Valentine's cards I did for the Card Sketch a Day blog.

Well, think I'd better pack it in and hope it's not a long night. Nathan has a real chest cold and has been waking up coughing at night, so we'll see.

Card a Day Blog Card

I got to sleep in this morning and I took full advantage! I did have to work today, but not until 1, so it was a relaxing morning. I spent the afternoon at work and did a couple of things there for a class afterwards. Came home and had dinner and then we all went for a drive to check out some of the Christmas lights around here. And, yes, we're really looking and Christmas lights already; the boys love them!

Well, better think about getting some sleep here since I'm up whenever the boys are in the morning and it's always early these days!

Card Sketch a Day!

Hey all - Happy Monday again already! The weekend seemed to fly by as it so often does! Worked Friday night and Sunday as usual, so that was a lot of it right there. I don't have Sophia today though, so that made it slightly easier for getting everyone ready to head up to school this morning for Kyle. They actually go longer than 45 minutes this morning - an hour and a half!!

So, since I have a few minutes with Nathan busy having some more cereal and playing, that I'd post my card that's on the Card Sketch a Day blog for today. This was a fun one to play with!

Supplies: Cardstock is Bazzill and WorldWin. Patterned paper is Scenic Route Appleton. Ribbon is American Crafts (I think!). Heart is Heidi Swapp. Paint is Making Memories "Dusk". Sticker letter "U" is Making Memories felt lettering. Ink is Memento Tangelo. Used the Fiskars Threading Water Punch for the scalloping and the Zutter Corner Rounder for rounding the chipboard corners.

Well, not too much else on the go here today other than some chores and hopefully a little scrapping later. I find though that with Kyle in morning Kindergarten and having little ones awake then as well as Kyle here in the afternoon when the little kids are napping, that I'm mostly left to scrapbook at night now. No afternoon break! Such is life when you have little ones...

Cards and Kindergarten Day 2!

So this was our second day of school and though I won't claim to be in any kind of routine yet, it was easier today that yesterday. Of course, it was only the boys and I to get ready since George had to go back to work today despite having a cold and being stuffed up. It's OK, because he was quite happy that they had training on the new Bobcat at work!

Anyway, Tracy came over just before we were headed up to school, so we walked with all the kids! Kyle took his backpack today for the first time and he was quite excited to be taking his hand-me-down (from my manager's son) SpongeBob backpack full of school supplies. When he got home he was a little upset that I'd left all the supplies at school!

When we went to pick Kyle up, I decided I'd better take the stroller since Sophia is a dawdler and it might take me forever to get there and back if she walks! She also managed to wipe out twice when she was walking when we took Kyle up there because she doesn't look where she's going! Much easier with the stroller!

This card was one I was playing with using some of the amazing goodies in my latest Scrapperie kit - Summer Camp. Had fun playing with my Threading Water border punch that I got from my friend Michele!

Supplies: Cardstock is Bazzill. Patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket. Chipboard flower is Prima. Used the Fiskar's Threading Water punch along the bottom. Ink is Palette Noir Black.

Well, don't think there's too much else happening here today! The kids are napping and Kyle and I are hanging out. It turned out to actually be another nice day and I'll take this as long as I can get it - my favourite time of year!
