"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are"
Mary Jean Irion
Record a normal, daily routine, take note!
This is the quote and prompt for the 365 Day Challenge that Anna is doing. Since I'm doing the pictures anyway, I thought I'd play along with some of these as well. This one seemed particularly poignant after seeing P.S. I Love You last night which deals with mortality and how things in your life can change quite quickly.
As you can see, I decided to take pictures of things the kids were doing today. My camera won't take the shots I want in terms of lighting, etc, but I'm taking them anyway. Kyle made a puppet the other day and wanted to make another one. We were playing ball, building blocks, singing (have some of that on video!), reading, playing tag, and then Kyle did a puppet show for us!
The one I decided on for my picture of the day is Kyle with his puppet...
Now, I know you probably think you're in some kind of weird time warp or that I don't know the holidays are over, but it's not that! I've actually joined a Christmas card challenge over at Scrapshotz. The idea is that you set a goal for how many cards you want to do and then divide it by, in my case 11 months, since I want to be finished before December and then you won't be so rushed at the end of the year trying to get them done! I did this one based on the sketch that Carla posted. We'll see if I can get this done! I'll be happy if I can because I didn't send as many as I usually do this year just because it got too late. (Sorry to those of you that didn't get them!)
Well, I guess I'd better get going here and get ready for work! I'm on 6-midnight at my local scrapbooking store with all the croppers tonight! I hope I've got enough caffeine in me!
Cheers,
Colleen

Love the puppet picture!
Great job! Can't wait to see the layout that I know you'll create with those pics! :)
What fun, everyday pictures! Those are the kind of photos you'll cherish years from now. And I love that card! What a great idea to start on next Christmas' cards now!
that card is gorgeous! just love it!
Love the quote you posted. It has inspired me to do a layout using it--thank you!
:D Love the photo of Kyle and his puppet. It's so happy - makes me smile.
Very cool idea about the Christmas cards. That's why I send store bought then - too much pressure to make them in time. Maybe I'll have to start on some for this year. Hmm...
Love your card and the paper combinations you chose!
Cute puppets and a pretty Christmas card! I like the idea of starting Christmas cards now. I am always rushing to get them done in December.
