I'll start with the post I left on Ali Edwards' blog about her One Little Word yesterday...
I think I've decided my word for the year will be OPEN! I like it in it's many grammatical forms and it has a lot of possibilities in terms of meaning. I think it'll be fun to play with this explore it through the year! I need to do some work on this because it's going to be a year of change and I'm going to need to be open to what lies ahead!
Cheers and Happy New Year!
There are going to be some changes happening this year with schedules changing for us and me thinking about what that means for myself, George, work and the kids. I want to make some positive changes for myself in different areas of my life (more to come on that) and that'll mean being open to where that leads me.
According to the American Heritage Dictionary, here's the meaning -
open(ō'pən)
adj.
Affording unobstructed entrance and exit; not shut or closed.
Affording unobstructed passage or view
Having no protecting or concealing cover
Completely obvious; blatant
Available; obtainable
Not yet decided; subject to further thought
v.tr.
To release from a closed or fastened position.
To remove obstructions from; clear.
To make or force an opening in.
To unfold so that the inner parts are displayed.
To make more responsive or understanding.
To reveal the secrets of; bare.
phrasal verb:
open up
open (one's) eyes
I love all the possibilities and places to go with this and it'll be fun to play with!
Well, it's back to work for me with Sophia being here shortly. It's a cold, windy, rainy day out there, so I don't think we'll be doing too much. The day started well though with me getting up early and getting my exercise done even though I didn't fall asleep until late last night with so much going on in my brain. I'm proud of myself for not making excuses and just doing it!
Hope to get some picking up and laundry done around here today. I'm also in purge mode again and want to get rid of some things and want to start that as well! I'd also like to get in some scrapping or at least some creativity of some kind today too! Busy day planned by the sounds of things!
Hope yours is great!
Cheers,
Colleen

great word! Mine is "Evolve". There is so much to think about this time, I totally agree! But I end up falling into bed exhausted as opposed to staying up. Don't know which is worse.
What a great word choice :) I look forward to hearing more from you about it! And Happy New Year to you and your family :)
Good word choice - I'll have to try this, just can't think of a word? Will stay tuned here!
